Visit the Royal Kitchen under Christiansborg Palace and get a look behind the scenes at the royal parties.

What goes on in the kitchen during the preparations for a gala dinner in 1937. The delicious smell of beef tenderloin for 275 guests wafts out of the ovens — the chefs toil around with the heavy copper pots — the pastry chef constructs refined royal crowns from candied fruits. And in the midst of all the chaos, a sea turtle has escaped… Follow the busy work of preparing a gala dinner in 1937 and see what happens behind the scenes when there is a ball at the palace today.
